YM dental sur
My dentist (who is also a surgeon) is:
Dr. A.A. Janklow
3155 Alma St,
Palo Alto, CA 94306
494-1122
He is very good and nice although somewhat verbose. He performed major job in my
mouth three years ago and I had no problems with it since then.
MWALKER@SU-SCORE Oral Surgeon
The absolute best in the area is Dr. Jay Chiles in Menlo Park. Address
is 1111 University Ave. and telephone # is 328-1900. I had to have
8 teeth removed (one of which was located in the roof of my mouth - a
very delicate procedure) before I started my orthodontia program. He
had been highly recommended by my regular dentist (Dr. Hamada in Palo
Alto - also one of the best) and my orthodontist. I can't say enough
about Dr. Chiles other than he was a very sensitive and caring person.
I had a pretty difficult time of it, and he was always in touch by
telephone to see how I was getting along, plus I saw him in the office
several times to make sure things were healing properly. I have since
heard the same kind of comments from other people I have recommended
him to.
Marilynn
RESTIVO@SU-SCORE Re: dental surgeons
you might check with Dr. Kasencheck's office for a recommendation. His
office is at 3231381. I am his patient and have never had a bad experience
with his operation to date.
TAJNAI@SU-SCORE Dental Surgen
Frank, Dr. Herbert Wilkinson, 877 W. Fremont, Sunnyvale, 408/736-4332,
(Fremont & Mary), removed wisdom teeth from all 3 of my daughters. I
would definitely go to him if I needed an oral surgeon.
However, Moira Lieberman (CSL.Moira@Sierra) and Linda Kovach (CSL.Kovach@
Sierra) both use a local dental surgeon. You might ask them.
(they use the same one and Linda just had a root canal and Moira has
had one from him also).

served with chili sauce rather than hot oil and vinegar. I forget what else I ate,

If you like a real Jewish delicatessen, this is the place to go. The
best pastrami sandwiches anywhere. They have chinese food, which is
good only in that it is kosher [ARK-77:9/80].

Bavarian Inn 212 650-1056
232 86th Street between 2nd and 3rd Ave., New York
Hours: closes around 1am.
Very good German food and beer. True German atmosphere; the waitors
and waitresses are German and wear old-fashioned Bavarian costume;
they also have (or had) a guy playing a zither there most nights in
addition to the background beer hall music. This is a very German
part of NYC (and a good area for singles too!) so standards are quite
high [MRC-77]. Informal, fun atmosphere, live music (German singer,
zither accompaniment), not too expensive. Food is authentic, good,
but not excellent. Reasonably priced [BPM-6/80].

From Sandy McCulloch and Mimi Bull:
"Osprey Hill" at Albion River - (the Mendocino coast)
"Osprey Hill is an enormously beautiful, quiet and private retreat near
Mendocino, California. We live in a simple and rustic fashion. Guests
are welcome, and rates are modest.
We are located about six miles south of Mendocino, three hours north of
San Franciso on 35 acres of redwood and fir overlooking a splendid,
forested river valley. The ocean is a mile away, glistening in the
distance. The Albion River passes through our land, a 100' wide
aquamarine path through dark trees. There is a road and walking path to
the river. Our rowing dory is available, and a neighbor has rental
canoes. We are planning a proper dock and a cottage on the riverbank.
We are in a region of great natural beauty; forest, ocean bluffs, rivers
and canyons. It is also an area with many splendid restaurants, good
music, and a fine airport.
Our guest house is a comfortable two story water tower with a splendid
vista of river valley and ocean. Heat and lighting are provided by wood
stove and kerosene lamps. Rates are $15/person/night -- two nights
minimum.
If you would like more information, please call Sandy McCulloch & Mimi
Bull at (707) 937-4493 or write Box 1307, Mendocino, CA 95460.
